Who is Driving Your Family? Our Rigorous Driver Vetting Process

Safety Starts with the Driver

You can have the newest car in the world, but if the driver is reckless, untrained, or unprofessional, your family is at risk. At Al Kiswah Umrah Transport, we believe that the driver is the most critical safety feature of any vehicle.

Many pilgrims ask us: "Who will be picking us up?" We want to give you the full answer. Here is how we select the top 10% of applicants to become your "Sisters' Safe" and "Family First" chauffeurs.

1. The "Adab" (Etiquette) Interview

Before we check driving skills, we check character. Umrah is a religious journey. We ensure our drivers understand Adab Al-Mu'amilat (Etiquette of Dealings). They must be:

  • Respectful of Silence: Knowing when you are praying or resting.
  • Helpful by Nature: Willing to load luggage without being asked.
  • Patient: Capable of remaining calm in Makkah's heavy traffic.

2. Violent Background Checks

We have a zero-tolerance policy. Every driver undergoes a comprehensive background check with local authorities. We verify:

  • No criminal record.
  • No history of reckless driving points.
  • Valid, commercial residency and licensure status.

3. The "Makkah Knowledge" Test

GPS is great, but Makkah is complex. Streets close for prayer times; tunnels get blocked. Our drivers must pass a test on Makkah's unique geography—knowing the hidden shortcuts to the Haram and the exact locations of major hotels (like Clock Tower, Jabal Omar) to get you as close as possible.

4. Health & Hygiene Screenings

Your driver will be in a closed space with you for hours. We mandate:

  • Regular health check-ups.
  • Strict personal hygiene standards (clean uniform, pleasant scent).
  • Non-smoker policy inside vehicles.

The "Sister Safety" Badge

For our solo female travelers, we assign specific drivers who have maintained a 5-star rating for professionalism and boundaries. We call this our "Sister Safety" Corps—drivers trusted to protect and respect our sisters in Islam.

When you book with us, you aren't just getting a ride; you are getting a guardian for your journey.
